Maggie is a banjo player and singer from Boyle, Co. Roscommon, in the west of Ireland. In 2016, she released her debut album with her father John Carty, Settle Out Of Court. Since her arrival in Australia, she has performed at various concert venues across VIC and NSW and toured the Australian festival circuit including; The National Celtic Festival Portarlington, National Folk Festival, Illawarra Folk Festival, Ceol Aneas, Nelson New Zealand, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Cresfest and Woodford Folk Festival. Now living in Melbourne, Maggie is a very prominent figure in the Irish traditional music scene here. In 2023, Maggie put together the Melbourne Céilí Band, who made history by being the first ever Australian entry in the All Ireland Céilí Band Competition at the Fleadh Cheoil in Mullingar.
